Plugin Installation

The “Restaurant Child Theme For Divi” depends on the following diviframework.com plugins.

  • Restaurant Menu Plugin
  • Testimonial Plugin

  • Open Table Reservation Divi Module

To download, log into your diviframework.com account and visit https://www.diviframework.com/my-account/df-extensions-list/. The plugins should be available in the Plugin section.

 

Child Theme Installation

Visit the Downloadhttps://www.diviframework.com/my-account/df-extensions-list/ section of your diviframework.com account once you are logged in.

In the Child Theme section, download the Restaurant Child Theme child theme.

Install and activate the child theme (df-restaurants-child-theme.zip)

 

Import Divi Customizer Settings

Visit the Downloadhttps://www.diviframework.com/my-account/df-extensions-list/ section of your diviframework.com account once you are logged in.

In the Theme Customizer section, download the Restaurant Child Theme Customizer file.

Extract “Divi Customizer Settings.json.zip” file. Visit WordPress Admin > Divi > Theme Customizer . Select the Import & Export icon link (top left with top and down arrow icon) and select Import tab. Upload the “Divi Customizer Settings.json” file and import.

 

Import Divi Library Items – Global Footers

Visit the Downloadhttps://www.diviframework.com/my-account/df-extensions-list/ section of your diviframework.com account once you are logged in.

In the Divi Library Item section, download the Restaurant Child Theme Footer Layouts file.

We have 2 global footer layouts. Unzip the divi-library-layouts-footers.json.zip and import the divi-library-layouts-footers.json file in WordPress Admin > Divi > DIvi Library > Import & Export Button. Select the Import Tab and import the file

 

Setup Divi Global Footer

Goto WordPress Admin > Divi > Divi Global Footer and select the footer from the dropdown and save changes.

Create Pages Using Divi Layouts.

Visit the Downloadhttps://www.diviframework.com/my-account/df-extensions-list/ section of your diviframework.com account once you are logged in.

In the Divi Library Item section, download the Restaurant Child Theme Page Layouts file.

We have included all the WordPress pages for you to easily import it. The pages include homepage, menu, restaurants, blog, faq and contact.

  1. Unzip the divi-builder-layouts-for-pages.zip
  2. The following files are extracted – Blog.json,Contact.json,FAQ.json,Home.json,Menu.json ,Reservations.json
  3. Create Home Page : Goto WordPress Admin > Pages > Add New . Add the post title and make sure Divi Builder is enabled on the page. Click on the Import & Export icon link (up and down arrow icon). A modal for Export/Import with popup, select import and select Home.json and click ‘Import Divi Builder Layout’. Publish the page.
  4. Repeat point 3 for Contact.json,FAQ.json,Home.json,Menu.json ,Reservations.json files.
  5. Tip: Make sure to link the home page in the Divi Theme Customizer. Also make sure to create the WordPress menu and link it to the primary menu.
